The DCVs will provide a "base of operations" for instrumentation data collection in a field environment and shall consist of: 4WD standard enclosed type vehicle, Ford van "E" Series LWB and Supervan or equal with extended Viking Sport Top o equal; full warranty; complete set of service and specification manuals; alarm system; trailer towing capable; electric winch; skid plates; external air conditioning; two Onan Emerald I generator sets or equal; interconnect panels; roof deck; and a pneumatic telescopic mast, Hilomast NP 7/53 or equal. The DCVs will be self-supportive and capable of following tactical vehicles during field operations in diverse types of errain to off-road remote field sites.
