The Defense Information Technology Contracting Office (DITCO), Scott AFB, IL, will procure through an electronic bulletin board, the Information Technology Acquisition Bulletin Board System (ITABBS), the following item: Hardware Maintenance for 3 government owned Emerson Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) Systems located at the Defense Megacenter (DMC) -- San Diego. Maintenance includes preventative maintenance and 24 hours a day, 7 days a week emergency service. Interested bidders are required to have technicians residing in the San Diego County area to allow response within 2 hours. Maintenance will be for 1 basic year with 4 each 1 year option periods. This requirement is being procured on an "unrestricted" basis. The anticipated RFP release date is 27 Jan 97 with proposals expected to be due on 11 Feb 97. A site visit will be held to allow potential bidders the opportunity to view/inspect the equipement. Vendor proposals in response to this RFP must be received in hard copy. Vendors will be able to dial into the electronic ITABBS, and download the RFP, check the status of the RFP, receive amendments and other RFP related correspondence. All responsible sources may submit proposals which shall be considered. Information from the electronic bulletin board system will either be in ASCII or Microsoft Word for Windows 6.0 format. RFQs are usually a compressed (PKZIP) MS Word file requiring you to have compatible software to extract the file. The ITABBS can be accessed by any FIP vendor through standard hardware and software. To access ITABBS, the necessary communications parameters are 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, with modem speeds of 1.2 -- 14.4 KBPS. ITABBS requirements will remain posted until the deadline has passed for submission of vendor quotations.
