of dredging and landfill at the Port of Los Angeles. Dredging consists
of selectively removing approximately 18 million cubic meters of
sands, silts and clays from depths down to -24.7 meters in main channel
and -22.9 meters in area outh of Pier 400. Landfill consists of rock
dike constructed with approximately 2.7 million metric tonnes of quarry
run constructed in lifts in coordination with selective placement of
dredge material. The standard industrial (SIC) code is 1629, Dredging
ad Surface Cleanup Activities, $13.5M average annual gross revenue for
the last three (3) fiscal years. The estimated cost range is over
$10,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on or about
March 3, 1997 at a cost of $45.00 half-size dwgs w/spec and $90.00
full- size dwgs w/spec non-refundable. All responsible sources may
submit an offer. Small and disadvantaged firms are encouraged to
participate s Prime Contractors or as members of joint ventures with
other small businesses. In addition,all interested contractors are
reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place
subcontracts to the maximum practicable extent with small and
disdvantaged firms in accordance with the provisions of Public Law
95-507. To be considered small, a firm must perform the dredging of at
least 40% of the yardage with its own dredging equipment or equipment
