Command (TECOM) is sponsoring Test Technology Symposium '97 -- "The
Army After Next -- How Will We Test?", on March 18, 19, and 20, 1997 at
the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel, Maryland. Noted
experts ill describe weapon concepts for the future and relate these
concepts to the testing challenges that lie ahead. Areas of interest
span the acquisition process from advanced concepts and emerging
technologies to radical product improvement on existing weapos systems.
Weapons concepts reviewed will include Directed Energy, Non-lethal
Weapons, Robotics, Smart/Brilliant Weapons, and Non-Traditional
Weapons. Speakers will address current DoD planning and industry
evolution. TTS '97 is an unclassified event held in conjunction with
TECOM's Advance Planning Briefing for Industry (March 17, 1997).
