(301)415-6578 17. The contractor shall present a two-day Site Access
Training course, a one- day Site Access Refresher Training course, and
a one-half day Radiation Work Training course to NRC personnel who
perform on-site inspections of nuclear power facilities to determine
whether they have been constructed and are being operated in compliance
with applicable NRC regulations and license conditions. This training
will enable personnel to develop, increase, and maintain their
technical competence for unescorted access into radiologically
controlled areas at nuclear power facilities. The period of performance
is one-year with four one-year options periods. The size standard for
this solicitation is average annual receipts of $5.0 million over the
past three years, as set forth under Standard Industrial Classification
8999. Proposals for this requirement may be submitted by all concerns,
i.e., large businesses, small businesses, and small businesses owned
and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.
Notice to large businesses: The subcontracting plan requirements of
P.L. 95-507 are applicable to this effort. Thus, all large businesses
determined to be in the competitive range must be prepared to submit a
detailed subcontracting plan. A source list comprising the names,
addresses, and telephone numbers of all concerns requesting a copy of
the solicitation, with large businesses identified by an asterisk, will
be provided with the solicitation. In order to allow small concerns
sufficient time to contact you for possible subcontracting
opportunities, you are encouraged to make your request for the
solicitation prior to the solicitation issuance date of January 10,
1997. A copy of the solicitation and all subsequent amendments will be
provided to each requester. Interested firms should submit written
requests to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission at the address as
shown above. Telephone requests will not be honored. Closing date for
