H -- ASBESTOS AND LEAD ANALYSIS SERVICES SOL IFB 657-03-97 DUE 021997 POC Debra Dodson, Contract Specialist, (314) 894-6603 The VA Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri, intends to negotiate for asbestos and lead analysis services to be performed for Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 15 facilities. VISN 15 facilities include: Kansas City, MO; Columbia, MO; Poplar Bluff, MO; St. Louis, MO; Topeka, KS; and Wichita, KS. Contractor shall provide the following asbestos testing services: Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM), Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM), and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy. Verbal communication for the purpose of reporting data analysis shall occur from same day response to 36 hour response as specified by the requesting facility. Written analytical test results shall be forwarded to requesting facility, via regular mail service on the third working day after verbal response was initiated. The Invitation for Bid will be issued on January 16, 1997. Bid opening date is February 19, 1997. This contract will be awarded for the base period beginning March 1, 1997 to February 28, 1998, with option to renew four (4) additional one year periods.
