C -- WOMEN'S PRIMARY CARE CLINIC SOL 544-025-97 DUE 020497 POC Contract Specialist, Virgil Thompson, (803) 695-6783 Furnish professional Architect/Engineer Services to include preliminary services and phasing recommendations, planning, consultation and visits, design work, asbestos abatement plans, preparation of contract drawings and specifications, preparation of cost estimates and construction period services as necessary for asbestos abatement, demolition, construction inspection, testing, and certification of all work for project # 544-97-107, "Women's Primary Care Clinic" at WJBD Veterans' Hospital, Columbia, South Carolina 29209. The intent of this project is to provide renovations for a women's primary care clinic, including private toilets adjoining exam rooms, HVAC upgrade, interior finishes, and abatement of asbestos-containing floor tile mastic. Construction will be phased to minimize disruptions to the operations of the Medical Center. Construction Cost Range is $250,000 -- $500,000. A/E will be required to provide evidence of professional liability insurance of $1,000,000. This is not a request for proposal. This is a 100% Set-Aside for Emerging Small Business Concerns. An "Emerging Small Business" means a Small Business Concern whose size is no greater than 50 percent of the Numerical Size Standard applicable to the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code assigned to a Contracting Opportunity.
