The Office of Naval Research plans the continuation of support services to the Manufacturing Technology (MANTECH), Best Manufacturing Practices (BMP) and Technology Implementation (TI) programs. This effort will include but not be limited to the contractor's continued support of the Strategic Planning DataBase, continued development and implementation of the status tracking database for ongoing MANTECH projects; continued support of the Pathways program; continuation of support to the Navy TI/DTP manager in developing a Navy strategy for technology deployment and uninterrupted support of the Navy electronic commerce resource center (ECRC). Sole source negotiations are anticipated with Production Technology Inc., the incumbent under Contract N00014-95-D-0120. This 3 month extension will include, a 1 month base and two 1 month options, to provide a bridge for a new competively awarded contract. The Navy's MANTECH program will be severly damaged without this extension. RFP number N00014-96-R-0007, for the follow-on contract announced June 4, 1996 wil be issued approximately mid December 1996. (0332)
