upgrades, and miscellaneous improvements at the Northlands Job Corps
Center located in Vergennes, Vermont. The work consists of structural
repairs, exterior foundation wall waterproofing, and trench drains
around Buildings Nos. 3, 17, 18 and 20; replacement of portions of the
parquet flooring in Building No. 4 (Gymnasium); architectural,
mechanical, plumbing and electrical upgrades in the bathrooms of
Buildings Nos. 20 and 21; and replacement of valves and security covers
of the HVAC units of Building No. 24. The period of performance for
construction is 240 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed
through completion of the project. The estimated cost range of
construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Initial Plans and
Specifications will be available on December 17, 1996, only from the
Architect/Engineer firm of Truex Cullins & Partners, Architects, 209
Battery Street, Burlington, Vermont 05401. Contact Mr. Dennis Willmott

accepted. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications
should be directed the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper handling
of requests. Plans and specifications will be made available for pick
up at the A/E's office and also for delivery at an additional charge.
Requests must be in writing and will be answered on a first-come,
first-serve basis until the initial supply is exhausted. For requests
made after the initial supply is exhausted, a non-refundable fee not to
exceed the actual cost of reproduction of the IFB documents (to be
determined by the Contracting Officer,) plus a shipping charge based on
each individual request (if applicable,) will be required in order to
obtain the IFB documents. Pre-Bid Walk-Thru is scheduled for January 7,
1997, at 9:00 a.m. (local) at the Center. This will be the only
opportunity to review the job site prior to submission of bids.
Bid-Opening is scheduled for January 21, 1997, at 2:00 p.m. (local) at
the A/E's office. (NOTE: THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE
ACQUISITION. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this
acquisition is 1542. The Small Business Size Standard is $17.0
