Z -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONSTRUCTION - REPAIRS AND ALTERATIONS CONTRACT FOR ALLEGHENY AREA DISTRICT 4 PENNSYLVANIA Solicitation #232098-97-A-0022. Due 010797. The US Postal Service, Facilities Service Office, Columbia MD 21045-0701, will issue Solicitation #232098-97-A-0022 on or about November 25, 1996 for an indefinite quantity contract for General Construction (Repairs & Alterations) for District 4 of the Allegheny Area. District 4 covers six (6) specific counties in Pennsylvania: Dauphin, Lehigh, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Lycoming and Lancaster. Offeror must have a minimum of three (3) years experience as a General Contractor. Contractors must also posses the capabilities of working at least two to four jobs at the same time. Specific Work Order/s will be issued by the Contracting Officer in accordance with the Unit Price Schedule and Specifications. The period of time for this contract will be two (2) years and/or $1,000,000. The initial bonding limit will be $250,000 and may be increased by modification as agreed upon by the contractor and the contracting officer up to the maximum of $1,000,000. The contractor will not be required to perform work under any work order where the value of Work in any one building is less than $500.00. The Postal Service guarantees no specific number of Work Order/s nor a specific amount. Offerors will be required to submit one (1) ``Multiplier'' to be applied to the various unit prices established in the ``Unit Price Schedule''. The Multiplier must contain the Offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. Solicitation packages will be available on or about November 25, 1996 at $50.00 per set, NON-REFUNDABLE, from the Columbia FSO, PO Box 701, Columbia MD 21045-0701 (Street address in 10500 Little Patuxent Pkwy Ste 200, Columbia MD 21044-3505.) referencing Solicitation #232098-97-A-0022. All checks/money orders must be made payable to the U S Postal Service. Cash Will Not Be Accepted. Offers Are Due by 4:00 pm on January 7, 1997. Offers Will Not Be Publicly Opened.
