This is a Presolicitation Notice that a solicitation will be issued for: (1) Hydraulic placement of sand fill along approximately 26,600 feet of beach. The source of sand will be from ocean borrow areas located approximately 1.0 to 6.0 miles offshore, (2) Extension of eight existing outfall pipes on timber pile supports (3) Notching of 13 existing stone groins. The anticipated contract will be a firm-fixed price contract. The estimated cost range of the project is between $25,000,000 to $50,000,000. The SIC Code is 1629. The solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. Time period for contract completion is 550 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Plans and specifications should be available on or about 12 December 1996 with the date for bid opening on or about 13 January 1997 at 1100 hours.
