J -- REPAIR OF CUMMINS VT-903M DIESEL ENGINES REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT SOL DTCG80-97-B-3FA738 DUE 022797 POC Contact Ms. Janet Martin, Contract Specialist, (757) 628-4640 or Mr. Kevin Brumfiel, Contracting Officer, (757) 628-4635 Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform engine repairs to Cummins VT-903M Diesel Engine including but not limited to the following items: (1) Disassemble cylinder block assembly, (2) Reassemble cylinder block assembly, (3) Overhaul marine gear assembly, (4) Renew eight cylinder liners and piston assemblies, (5) Rebuild cylinder head, (6) Clean and inspect rocker lever assembly, (7) Provide new cylinder head, (8) Clean and inspect cylinder block components, (9) Rebuild water pump, (10) Provide new lube oil pump, (11) Overhaul seawater pump, (12) Renew reverse clutch assembly (13) Renew forward clutch group, (14) Provide dynamometer test main propulsion unit, (15) Clean and inspect power takeoff, (16) Furnish power takeoff assembly, (17) Provide new reduction gear lube oil cooler, (18) Prepare engine/reduction gear assembly for long-term storage, (19) Overhaul heat exchanger, (20) Renew accessory drive assembly, (21) Clean, test, and calibrate PTG fuel pump, (22) Rebuild fuel injector, (23) Rebuild turbocharger, (24) Remove and reinstall cylinder heads and oil pan, (25) Remove, clean and inspect cylinder head assembly, etc. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 27 JAN 97 from our office location, Commander (vpl-1), Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic, 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102.
