of Underground Storage Tanks, under project number JLSQ909636A, 171ST
Air Refueling Wing, Pennsylvania Air National Guard Base, Pittsburgh
International Airport, Coraopolis, PA. The project includes but is not
limited to, providing all plant, labor, materials, equipment,
supplies, transportation, supervision and quality control, as specified
in the Statement of Work and Drawings. Contractor shall provide for
removal, disposal and replacement of regulated underground storage
tanks. Work includes, removal of Five (5) oil-water separators, ranging
in size 5 to 2,000 gallons, Four (4) waste oil tanks, ranging in size
from 100 to 15,000 gallons, Two (2) diesel fuel tanks, ranging in size
from 3,000 to 5,000 gallons, One (1) heating oil tank, 550 gallon and
One (1) unleaded fuel (mo-gas) tank, 5,000 gallon. Project also
requires the contractor to furnish and install new replacement tanks of
various capacities for eight(8) of the thirteen (13) tanks removed. All
work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with all applicable
Federal, State and Local environmental regulations. The contractor
shall be a certified Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources
Certified tank Installer/Remover. Contractor will be responsible for
securing all permits and work notifications, also have in place an
established and approved confined space entry program, provide test
reports, manifests, site protection, inspection and quality control
measures. Associated work may include the contractor to perform the
following as a minimum, site excavation, material segregation, tank
draining and cleaning, tank and associated pipe removal, backfill and
clean-up. The SIC Code for this acquisition is 1542. It is classified
under construction for the designated industrial group (DIG) and is
considered UNRESTRICTED. Therefore, all responsible concerns may
request the solicitation and submit an offer. Complete item

Only written request for solicitation will be accepted either by mail
or FAX (412) 474-7663. Telephone request will not be honored.
Solicitation packages are limited (approximately 40 sets) and shall be
furnished on a first received first served basis. A solicitation
package will be furnished to Dodge Report, Pittsburgh, PA and
Pittsburgh Construction News, Pittsburgh, PA. Estimated construction
cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. A Firm Fixed Price contract is
contemplated. Completion time is 180 cal. days, from receipt of notice
to proceed. Solicitation package available approximately 9 Dec 96,
with an anticipated Bid Opening Date of 9 Jan 97. Contractors are
requested to include their full company name and address to include zip
plus four, and their cage code if known, on all request for this
solicitation. Solicitation packages will be issued to Prime Contractors
only. Therefore, please indicate type and size of business also.
