Officer (410) 636-4367. Potential Sources Sought. The Coast Guard is
seeking qualified sources that can supply Solar Turbine starter
replacement kits, p/n 179882K205B. These replacement starter kits will
be utilized on the emergency generator gas turbines for the 378'
WHEC's. It is the Government's belief that only Solar Turbines, Inc,
9330 Sky Park Court, San Diego CA 92123, can fulfill this requirement
since they have all the technical data relating to the emergency
generator gas turbines characteristics, which would ensure the proper
form, fit and function of all components. However, other organizations
that can show that they have access or can obtain access to the
technical data relating to the emergency gas turbines characteristics
are required to provide complete information discussing their
capabilities as follows: (i.e., salient physical, functional and
serviceability, characteristics) 1) show that they have satisfactorily
manufactured the part for the government or the prime equipment
manufacturer; or 2) submit complete and current engineering data
comparing the offered parts to the OEM's to demonstrate the
acceptability of the parts. Organizations having the capabilities and
expertise required are invited to submit complete detailed information
discussing their capabilities in duplicate within fifteen (15) days of
this announcement. No cost or pricing data is required. This is not a
Request for Proposal (RFP). The government does not intend to pay for
the information solicited. Responses must be concise and be
specifically directed to the requirement mentioned above. Concerns that
respond to the notice must fully demonstrate their capabilities to meet
the requirements. Adequate detailed data by which to evaluate
