Prisons seeks bids for construction of a new Federal Correctional
Complex near Victorville, CA. Invitation for Bid (IFB) Number X00-0273.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish all labor, materials,
and equipment to complete a medium security Federal Correctional
Institution and a minimum security Federal Prison Camp. The
construction includes, but is not limited to, utilities, sitework and
building construction for approximately 64,000 square meters (690,000
square feet) of one to four level buildings in a ''campus plan''
arrangement. This project is designed using the metric system of
measurement. The estimated price range for this project is more than
$10,000,000.00. All related work for the construction contract must be
completed within 670 calendar days for the Federal Prison Camp and 730
calendar days for the Federal Correctional Institution after issuance
of a formal notice to proceed. Documents will be available on or about
November 25, 1996. The documents may be obtained from the
