(GSA) requests Letters of Interest in a negotiated contract for Art
Conservation Services for Various Works of Art in the Fine Arts
Collection located in Various Federally Owned and Leased Buildings in
all the Geographic Regions of the General Services Administration.
Services to include performance of, but not limited to the following:
survey, assess, recommend treatment, transport, perform conservation
services, perform emergency stabilization / repair, and develop generic
cyclic maintenance plans for Works of Art in the Fine Art Collection of
GSA. Services will be coordinated through the Cultural & Environmental
Affairs Division (PTS) located in the Central Office of GSA in
Washington, DC. The Works of Art include Architectural Arts, Graphics,
Paintings, and Sculptures in all meterials. This will be an Indefinite
Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract with a Base Year Period
and Two (2) Option Year Periods, with an indefinite quantity ceiling of
$700,000 for each period for an aggregate contract total of $2,100,000.
The government may award more than one (1) contract based on the area
of conservation expertise. Services will be procured, as necessary, by
the issuing of Delivery Orders. Consideration is open to established,
qualified firms to perform professional services under FAR 22.1102,
Nationwide. Request For Proposals (RFP) will be available for issuance
on or about December 2, 1996, and will be due January 17, 1997. A RFP

December 18, 1996 at GSA, 18th & F Streets, NW, Washington, DC in
Conference Room 6327. Attendance will be non- mandatory. Minutes will
be forwarded to Interested Firms. Upon request with the firm's
telephone number, teleconferencing will be available. This negotiated
solicitation will be open to both small and large professional business
firms. All qualified responsible firms are encouraged to participate in
