ELECTRONIC TDP The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command's Acquisition Center is ready to begin issuing Technical Data Packages (TDPS) on CD-ROM instead of furnishing aperature cards. This special notice applies to TACOM-WARREN, TACOM-ARDEC, and TACOM-ACALA. We will start issuing TDPS on CD-ROM on a limited basis, within the next few weeks, with full implementation by January 1997. The solicitation CBD notice and the electronic bulletin board (TACOM-WARREN and TACOM-ACALA) or procurement network (PROCNET, TACOM-ARDEC) will inform offerors when a TDP is available only on CD-ROM. Following are the system and software requirements for accessing the TDPS on CD-ROM: (A) IBM-PC or compatible computer; (B) recommend 80486 processor or greater; (C) eight (8) megabytes of RAM; (D) ten (10) megabytes of free disk space; (E) one (1) CD-ROM drive with 2X speed minimum; (F) mouse; (G) windows 3.X or windows 95.
