Engineering and Maintenance Assist Team (CEMAT) services are required
in support of maintenance and planning for overhaul and repair of
equipment and systems associated with U.S.Navy aircraft carriers
(CV/CVN). CEMATS provide Engineering and Technical services to ships
force personnel on board CV/CVNs. Services consist of ''hands on''
training and instruction in safeapplication of current methods, tools
and techniques used in the diagnosis, fault isolation, repair,
functional check, operation test, and final adjustment of specific
Hull, Mechanical and Electrical(HM&E) systems and equipment. Primary
focus is to improve ship's force ability to successfully perform
preventive and corrective maintenance, install minor upgrades and
document system/componentmaterial condition. Work will be performed at
any geographical area where U.S. Atlantic and Pacific Fleet aircraft
carriers may be located. The contractor will provide engineering,
technical, and logistic support to forces afloat in identification
andcorrection of material discrepancies in aircraft carrier HM&E and
equipment. Period of performance will be a base year with an estimated
level of effortof 455,00 hours and four (4) one year options periods
with an estimated level of effort of 455,000 hours per year, for each
of the option years. The total level of effort for the base and all
option years is 2,275,000 hours. All responsible sources maysubmit and
