Jose Farias The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform overhaul of two Trane Centrifugal Chillers Model # CVHE-028f-AL-2EB2425CEZ000000052T000.One is located in Building 9210 and the serial number is L86K40964. The other is located in Building 9310, with the serial number L86K40960. The contractor shall accomplish the following work on both chillers: 1) Repair existing motor(Louis Allis 1538 Frame, 460 volt)(Replace seals as required and bearing, balance motor rotor. If required repair shaft, rewind motor, and replace rotor) 2)Repair prewhirl vanes. 3) Replace worn labyrinth seals throughout machine. 4) Rebuild first and third stage vanes. 5) Repair or replace oil pump and oil pump motor. 6)Replace purge unit with Trane purifier purge unit. 7) Add extraneous matter filter using one inch eductor and four core dries 8) Change oil and filter 9) Install oil bypass modification 10)Replace oil foam breaker. 11) Replace all main compressor starter contacts (Cutler Hammer Nema Size-4, 135 amp, 120 volt coil) 12)Replace two six inch valves in chilled water lines to prevent leakage. 13) Reinstall rupture guard. 14)Eddy current test chiller and condenser tubes. 15 Brush and lcean condenser and chiller tubes. PRE AND POST START-UP OPERATION a) Leak test machine at 20 psi using a trace charge of refrigerant 22 and dry nitrogen. b) Evacuate machine to 500 microns and perform a standing vacuum test(allowable rise 2.5 microns/24 hrs) c) Charge system with approximately 600 pounds of refrigerant 11 and 3 gal of oil d) Start machine and check complete operation e) Check, calibrate, repair, replace as required all operational and safety controls. f)Perform oil analysis 72 hrs after operation to establish a baseline. Offerors will be bidding of the following items: CLIN 0001 Perform Repair of Trane Chiller S/N L86K40964. In accordance with the above. Quantity of one(1). CLIN 0002 Perform repair of Trane Chiller S/N L86K40960 in accordance with the above. Quantity of one(1). This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitiaiton; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation. This procurement is unrestricted and subject to full and open competition. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-41. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation.
