Construction, Norfolk intends to obtain demolition of Government
facilities and incidental related work in the Navy Public Works Center,
Norfolk Naval Base and various Tidewater area sites by means of an
Indefinite Quantity type contract. The various types of buildings
include but are not limited to reinforced concrete buildings, concrete
masonry buildings with steel and timber framed roofs, concrete masonry
buildings with reinforced concrete roofs, steel framed buildings with
metal skins, steel framed buildings with reinforced concrete roofs and
timber framed buildings with timber and steel framed roofs. The
removal of demolition debris from Government property along with the
removal and disposal of asbestos, lead paint and other hazardous
material is also included. Restoration of building sites includes
grading and seeding, bituminous paving and reinforced concrete work.
This solicitation is for a base period of one year and anticipated
options to extend for additional periods of one to twelve months not to
exceed a total duration of thirty six months. A multiple award is
intended for this solicitation, with award to a maximum of three
companies and a minimum of two companies. This is an RFP which requires
the submission of Technical and Price Proposals. Technical proposals
will contain the following evaluation factors: 1. Corporate Experience
and Past Performance, 2. Corporate Resources and Financial Capability,
and 3. Support for Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business and
Women Owned Small Business. Plans and specifications will be available
on or about 5 December 1996. The estimated date for receipt of
proposals is 10 January 1997. A limited number of proposal packages
will be available and issued on a first come, first serve basis. A
check or money order for $25.00 payable to the Treasury of the United
States is required as a non-refundable charge for each set of proposal
data. Written requests must be received in the office of the Officer
in Charge of Construction no less than five (5) working days prior to
the date for receipt of offers if you want the proposal data mailed. If
your check is received less than five (5) working days prior to the
date for receipt of offers, we will attempt to contact you and afford
you the opportunity to pick up a package. Estimated cost range: Over
$10,000,000.00. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will
