The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) The work requires rehabilitation of 3 radial (tainter) type regulating gates. Work consists of removal of top electrical heater cover and heater, pipe clamps and piping, and top and side inflatable rubber seals and clamping bracket assemblies. Additional work requires cleaning and painting, removal and replacement of gate seal mounting hardware and clamping brackets, partial replacement of air piping, and dismantling, cleaning and reassembly of the dogging device, hoisting yoke, and the eye-bar chain linkage. The gate structure will require cathodic protection. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 270 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required.
