S -- MONTHLY WEATHER SERVICE SOL R3-97-5 POC Carol Benavidez, Contracting Officer, 505-842-3348 USDA Forest Service intends to negotiate a contract with Weatherbank, Inc. to provide monthly weather service to 12 dispatch centers and the Southwest Interagency Coordination Center in Arizona and New Mexico for the period ending September 30, 1997. This weather service is used in fire weather forecasting. We have determined that Weatherbank is the only known source because they are the only source that provides lightning strike data.
