J -- DRYDOCK REPAIRS USCGC WHITE SUMAC (WLM-540) 133 FOOT COASTAL BUOY TENDER SOL DTCG80-97-B-3FA845 DUE 122796 POC Contact Ms. Janet Martin, Contract Specialist, (757) 628-4640 or Mr. Kevin Brumfiel, Contracting Officer, (757) 628-4635 Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydock repairs including but not limited to the following minimum items: (1) Remove, inspect & reinstall propeler shaft, (2) overhaul, renew and test valves, (3) Renew plating & framing sections in #1 hold, (4) Renew sewage vacuum piping, (5) Renew insulation in fos'cle, (6) Renew hull plating, (7) Renew corrosion preventive zinc anodes, (8) Preserve bilges in engine room and machine shop, (9) Overhaul anchor and anchor chains (complete), (10) Renew quats in #2 hold, (11) Routine drydocking, (12) Main rudder assembly, (13) Clean and inspect sewage and grey water collection and holding tanks, (14) Clean, inspect and disinfect potable water tank(s), (15) Provide temporary berthing, (16) Provide temporary logistics, etc. Indefinite items include but are not limited to the following: (1) Provide additional temporary logistics, (2) Minor repair and recondition propeller, (3) Remove, dispose and provide new fuel oil (2000 gallons), etc. Vessel availability schedule is 13 JAN 97 for 42 calendar days. Vessel is 133 Feet and 7 inches in length and Breadth, Extreme is 33 feet. The vessel homeport is St. Petersburg, FL. This availability will be performed at the contractor's facility. A charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after 27 NOV 96 from our office location, Commander (vpl-1), Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic, 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102.
