This is a sources sought/market survey notice to determine if there are any qualified sources to provide research and development in support of the compact autoloader development effort. The contractor shall provide a compact autoloader suitable to conduct live firings in the M1A2 Abrams Tank. The autoloader will hold 34 rounds of ready ammunition in the turret bustle and be capable of loading the existing family of 120mm ammunition at a rate of 12-15 rounds per minute. The autoloader shall not impact the current usable space in the turret to include autoloader handling swept volume and electronics.
