A -- FIELD TEST OF PD 16 DIVE DATABASE SYSTEM DEVELOPED BY DIVER'S ALERT NETWORK SOL -7RQ20002-CBD DUE 110796 POC Mr. Chris Diehl, (904) 230-3191 Notification of intent to award a Sole Source contract to Diver's Alert Network(DAN), of Duke University for performance of a field test of the PD 16 system in the U.S. Navy Special Warfare operational/training setting. PD16 is a dive database system designed by DAN to collect information on operational dives of interest with a dive data logger or dive computer with logging capabilities. The system was developed under a previous contract. The field test will test and evaluated PD16 data flow from dives performed by actual SEAL units to transmitting and archiving the data to a designated archive database computer. Data collection methodology, software and associated documents will be updated based on information provided by the field test. (0312)
