Z -- REMOVE AND REPLACE UNDERGROUND FUEL STORAGE TANKS, PROJECT NUMBER: SHYQ909655A SOL DAHA36-97-B-3002. Due 122496. POC Contracting Officer Msgt Charles R Bishop (717) 948-2360. Provide all labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to remove and replace underground storage tanks. Work includes, but is not limited to, removal of tanks, oil water separators, concrete basins and ballast pads and installation of new above ground tanks, oil water separators and all associated monitoring controls and piping. This project includes the removal of 14 tanks and 5 oil water separators which range in size from 1000 to 15000 gallons. This project includes the installation of 2 new above ground tanks and 5 new underground oil water separators with all associated pipes and controls. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with Federal, State and Local environmental regulations. The contractor must be a Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Certified Tank Installer. These tanks are assumed to be nonleaking tanks, site restoration does not include environmental remediation. The performance shall be completed no later than 15 October 1997. This project is located at the Pennsylvania Air National Guard Facilities at Harrisburg International Airport and State College, Pennsylvania. Estimated project range is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The solicitation shall be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and will be issued as UNRESTRICTED. Solicitations will be available o/a 15 calendar days after publication of this notice with a projected Bid Opening Date to be no earlier than 30 days after issuance of the IFB. A copy of these documents will be available for inspection at the 193D Special Operations Wing - Contracting Office, Building #79, Harrisburg International Airport, Middletown PA. A solicitation package will also be sent to Dodge Reports, Harrisburg PA and Harrisburg Builders Exchange, Harrisburg PA. Interested concerns should as early as possible but not later than fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this notice, indicate their interest in bidding as a prime contractor. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this particular project is 1542. Availability of specifications packages is limited (approximately 40 sets). Therefore, distribution will be on a first come first served basis only to those firms responding to this announcement. No telephone requests excepted.
