The US Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed price Job Order under a Master Ship Agreement for the drydock and overhaul repairs of two (2) deck cargo barges. Prospective contractors must have or be capable of entering into a Master Ship Agreement and have dry-docking capabilities. The barges have the same dimensions of 60 foot in length with a beam of 22 feet; depth is 4 feet; draft is 3 feet; and displacement is 40 long tons. The work to be performed may consist of, but not limited to, painting, underwater repair work, miscellaneous mechanical, electrical, structural repair and drydocking. The work is scheduled to commence on or about 2 January 1997 and be completed twenty-one (21) calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The areas of consideration include facilities in and between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to, and including, Baltimore, Maryland (this includes the central and southern New Jersey area).
