66 -- TRANSPORTATION VIBRATION SIMULATOR SOL DAAA03-97-R-0005 DUE 112996 POC Larry Crane, Contract Specialist, 501/540-3842. This is a resubmittal of a synopsis previously transmitted to the CBD on 02 Oct 96. The amended action is to make notice that proposed contract is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this procurement is 3559 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Pine Bluff Arsenal, Arkansas has a requirement for a Transportation Vibration Simulator in accorfance with Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA) Technical Specification SIOPB-ETD-1996-TS-10 (to be provided with the solicitation), dated Septemeber 1996. The similator will be installed on-site at PBA. The simulator shall have the manufacturer's standard finish and shall be manufactured to meet the requirements of Occcupational Safety and Health Standards, Part 1910, Title 29 to Code of Federal Regulations. All machine fasteners will be in standard English units. Contractor will employ the use of quick release fasteners for non-structural guards, inspection and maintenance access covers. The noise level at the operators station shall not exceed 85dbs. Standard hand tools will be the only items required to service the Simulator. Any special tools will be provided with the equipment. Simulator to be used for testing of pyrotechnics munitions, munition components, and other items as necessary to accomplish PBA mission goals. Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, materials, and labor needed for removal of esisting equipment (four start/stop stations, conduit, and related fittings, set up and run-off at Pine BLuff Arsenal). The contractor will be responsible for shipping, unloading, unpacking, physical installation, and utility tie-in of all equipment. The isntallation shall include pouring an elevated support and anchoring pad, setting Simulator, electrically bonding Simulator to building ground system, installtin of controls, connection and incorporation of door interlock, all electrical connection. The contractor will also provide personnel to train operator, maintenance and engineering personnel. All responsible offerors will be considered.
