requires ten eachcolor monitor display units, part number V9517532
including the following standard options: 19 inch landscape tube
mounting, 115V AC; fixed power cord; 4/3 format: 380MM x 270MM picture
dimentions; 9300 degree K color temp; termintion plugs provided - 4
PCS 75 OHM termintion; ground plug provided; black bezel, RAL9011;
perforated covers intalled; 19 inch console mountable mechanical
interface mounted; scanning range - 47KHZ to 94 KHZ; includes standard
burn-in cycle (24 hours) and factory acceptance test. In addition, the
following options are required: signal connectors - BNC with insulating
bushings; filter type - flat window ND filter 60% ARC coating, 30 & 50
OHM square; sliders included; EMI filter & bezel; MIS II. These
monitors are for use in the Advnaced Tactical Display Consoles on the
Advanced Tomahawk Weapon Control System. These monitors were selected
because of their unique magnetic suppression system which will be
compatible with the magnetic environment aboard the AEGIS class ships.
The Government intends to negotiate this requirement with Barco
Chromatics, 2558 Mountain Industrial Blvd, Tucker, GA 30084-3893, on a
sole source basis. Barco Chromatics holds the design patent required
to manufacture these units. The Government cannot provide
specifications for a competitive procurement. This procurement will be
made in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items.
The solicitation will be issued on or about 22 November 1996 with a 21
