synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information
included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only
solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation
will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for
quotation. Submit quotes on requisition F41636-96-TT479. This
procurement is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. The
submission of Brand Name or Equal for this procurement is acceptable.
This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are
those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-42. Standard
Industrial Code 3861. Scope: This procurement is for the delivery,
installation, set-up, integration and testing of modular classroom,
data/video/audio presentation systems, in two locations at Wilford Hall
Medical Center, Lackland AFB, Tx. Items to be acquired are Line item
0001 - Sharp XG-E1100U Data/Video Projector or equal, 2 ea; Line item

screen, High power surface or equal, 2 ea: Line item 0020 -
Installation - Turnkey Installation of both systems, including
electrical wiring for both rooms, including in-service on the site
training. A ceiling mount installation of a data/video LCD projector as
well as electrical connection of the projector and the routing of
data/video/audio cables from the projector to a custom wallplate in the
classroom at two locations. All ceiling mounted projectors must be
securely attached to the above ceiling roof joist structures. Require
all ceiling metal brackets, bars, channels, suspension cables or
whatever is required to effectively mount the projectors. Custom
wallplate, this will be 4'' X 4'' JBOX mounted in the wall in each
classroom for termination of cables routed from the projector. The
wallplate should accommodate a female 15 pin VGA connector, a female
SVHS connector, a male BNC connector, and a quarter inch RCA style
audio jack. All data/video/audio cables connected to the projector for
support of the VGA signal, SVHS signal, a composite video input and
audio channel, Removal of Disposables, Trash and Shipping Containers.
It will be the responsibility of the contractor to completely remove
from WHMC, all excess materials, empty boxes, trash and shipping
containers as a result of the work performed. Due to committments at
WHMC, installation will have to be in the evenings or Saturday, or
both. Provide a delivery schedule with proposal. FOB point is DEST at
Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland AFB TX. All offerors interested
in a walk thru of the areas which equipment will be installed, need to
contact Contracting Officer at 37 Contracting Squadron (210)671-1759,
in order to schedule an appointment with the customer no later than 08
Nov 96. The contractor must submit with their quotation the following
information: SPECIFICATIONS - Detailed specifications of equipment
being furnished and product/catalogs of descriptive literature;
REFERENCES - A list of equipment installations completed within the
last 24 months which were of similar complexity and/or same type work
performed. References must include a point of contact and telephone/fax
number, WARRANTY - Standard Commercial Warranty. The FAR provision at
52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial, applies to this
acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions
Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items,
applies to this solicitation. Specifically, the following clauses,
cited are applicable to this solicitation: 52.222-26, Equal
Opportunity; 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and
Vietnam Era Veterans; 52.222-36, Affirmative Action Handicapped
Workers; 52.232-33, Mandatory Information for Electronic Funds Transfer
Payment. The clause at DFARS 252.212-7800, Contract Terms and
Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders
Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, applies to this
solicitation. Specifically the following clauses, cited are applicable
to this solicitation 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of
Payment Program; 252.225-7012. The clause at 52.212-2,
Evaluation--Commercial Items, is applicable. The specific evaluation
factors are a) technical capability of the items offered to meet the
Government requirement; b) price; c) past performance as determined by
the ability of the offeror to show projects completed within the last
24 months. Offerors must include with their offer a completed copy of
the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and
Certification--Commercial Items, and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror
Representation and Certification--Commercial Item. The clause at
52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, applies to
this solicitation. Quotes must be sent in writing or faxed to the
Contracting Officer indicated above. Fax number is 210/671-5064. Quotes
are required no later than 18 November 1996. Award will be made on or
