The Government intends to issue a Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Type Contract with five consecutive ordering periods. The minimum quantity is 95 each and the maximum quantity is 235 each. Delivery will be FOB destination for the first ordering period and FOB origin for the subsequent ordering periods. Required delivery wiht First Article Testing is 5 each 750 days after date of contract and 10 each per month thereafter, first article test report is one each 330 after date of contract. Required delivery without first article test is 5 each 390 days after date of contract and 10 monthly thereafter until completion. This procurement requires prequalification. All reponsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government does not have specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. Approved sources are McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co., Mesa, AZ 85215, and Parker-Hannifin Corp., Irvine, CA 92715. The time required for approval of new supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms are encourage to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations IAW the instructions contained in Section L of the solicitation.
