The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, NSWC, Panama City, FL intends to award a sole source Purchase Order to the ARINC Research Corporation, Panama City, FL for Engineering and Technical Services in support of Mine Countermeasure (MCM) programs. This will be a short term follow-on to complete requirements started under contract N61331-92-D-0029 for the past five (5) years. This contract is intended to bridge any gap in program engineering support if the competitive replacement to contract N61331-92-D-0029 is not awarded by 15 January 1997. The contractor will be required to perform tasks over the full range of systems engineering disciplines for MCM systems such as the AN/SQQ-30 and AN/SQQ-32 variable Depth Sonar, AN/SLQ-37 influence minesweeping system, AN/SLQ-38 mechanical minesweeping system, Airborne Mine Neutralization System (AMNSYS), AN/AQS-20, AN/AQS-14, AN/ALQ-141, AMCM Single and Multi Winches, Air-to-Air Transfer System,MH-53E interface removables for use with various minesweeping and minehunting systems, Side Scanner Sonar, the MK-104, MK-105, Cutter, MK-17 Sweep Array, AN/SPU-1/W, AN/ALQ-1656, A/N-37U-1, and MHC-51 class MCM systems. As noted these are on-going projects and this Purchase Order will be to conclude requirements already in progress. ARINC Research Corporation and their team of sub-contractors have developed a detailed in-depth knowledge of these systems through the support provided under the previously cited contract. The duration of the Purchase Order is anticipated to be six (6) months and it is anticipated that all requirements will be completed during this timeframe or will be transitioned to the successful offeror for the N61331-92-D-0029 replacement contract. No other contractor would be able to build the knowledge base that ARINC has already achieved to complete this work within the allotted timeframe. See Note 22. (0304)
