Mansfield, Contract Specialist, (716) 879-4256 Work consists of reviewing and summarizing approximately 70 reports and position papers from 1975 to present. These documents relate to the Maumee River, Maumee Bay and Toledo Harbor, Toledo, Ohio. Sediment is dredged from these channels on an annual basis with sediment sampling and analysis for compliance with Sections 404 and 401 of he 1972 Clean Water Act as appropriate. These documents shall be made available to the contractor. The Contractor will read, review, and analyze the documents (reports) that are provided with a view to drawing conclusions on the completeness of the data contained therein. The Contractor shall ascertain whether there were data gaps or insufficient data to fully evaluate the material under Sections 404 and 401, and the Ohio Water Quality Standards. The Contractor shall not be required to determine if the sediment was contaminated, its suitability for disposal or whether state water quality standards were violated. However, the Contractor should be familiar with Sections 404 and 401 of the 1972 Clean Water Act, and be able to recognize and conclude the completeness of the data contained in the documents.
