The Department of Veterans Affairs Connecticut Healthcare System, West Haven Campus, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with the Scimed Life Systems, Inc., One Scimed Place, Maple Grove, MN 55311-1566 to purchase a Scimed 15006 CVIS Clearview Ultra Instrument with Automatic Pullback Device. This intracoronary ultrasound imaging device will be included in the new cardiac catheterization laboratory. This device allows imaging from within the coronary arteries, and is the current standard of practice when placing intracoronary stents, allowing less aggressive anticoagulation regimens and earlier patient discharge. This procurement is under the authority of FAR 6.302. All proposals received within ten days of the date of this invoice will be considered by the Government. A determination based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
