Contractor will be responsible for providing pickup and delivery for processing approximately 5,000 to 6,500 case acquisitions (some with multiple specimens from a patient case), including surgical, biopsy, bone marrow (hematopathology) biopsy and cytology cell block specimen, with approximately 1450 blocks per month. Contractor will use the College of American Pathologist/Laboratory Accreditation Program Checklist for Histology Laboratories for standard guidelines, including quality control and equipment maintenance. The contractor's histology laboratory must be accredited by the college of American Pathologist/Laboratory Accreditation Program.
