The Smithsonian Institution is seeking proposals to furnish all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment required for the construction of the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) HVAC Renovation Phase Ib - East Penthouse System as set forth on Drawings 1 through 30 dated 26 June 1995; Phase Ic - East Penthouse System as set forth on Drawings 1 through 108 dated 26 June 1995; Phase XIa - Temporary Space - Hall 21 and Phase XIb - Temporary Space - Hall 22 as set forth on Drawings 1 through 38 dated 12 July 1996; and combined Specifications 1 through 756 dated 26 June 1995, for OPP Project No. 933108. The Scope of Work (for all Phases) includes, at a minimum: demolition, including demolition of interior walls, doors, ceilings, equipment, piping, ductwork, and conduit, temporary protective structures, temporary HVAC and asbestos abatement; interior finishes; HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection; weather and security protection of existing building; phasing; protection of specimens and storage collections.
