The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center desires to acquire global satellite communications services for use of mobile to base, mobile to mobile, and base to mobile for the U.S. Department of Transportaton INTRANSIT teams operating around the world. The satellite company providing these services must utilize coast earth stations located in CONUS or directly linked to its facilities in the United States. The services required are: telephone, telex, data and facsimilie, via Standard C, Standard M, Aero-C, Standard A and Standard B. The main requirement is to have worldwide coverage and close to real time response for all services except for telephone.
