the Southeastern States and Texas have formed an Alliance to assess
infrastructure requirements to capitalize on possible increased trade
with Latin America. The Alliance, is soliciting proposals from
qualified consultants. Consultants submitting proposals for this work
must demonstrate expertise and experience in both economic modeling and
transportation planning; and must show experience in long range
planning at state and/or multi-state levels. The selected consultant
will be decided based on qualifications and experience. A cost plus
fixed fee contract will be negotiated. The RFP is issued by the
Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) on behalf of the
Alliance. A copy of the RFP and the consultant selection procedure will
