circulated in accordance with Article 10.6. G/TBT/Notif.96.356. 1.

notified document: TIS 721-2539 (1996) Standard for Seat Belts for
Automobiles. 6. Description of content: Classifies seat belts for
automobiles into two classes, i.e. with and without retractor, and into
two types, i.e. two-point and three-point seat belts. Specifies
materials and construction, requirements (e.g. for resistance to
breaking load of webbing, force used for buckles, corrosion resistance
of fitting, retracting force of retractor, etc.). Includes marking,
sampling and criteria for conformity and testing. 7. Objective and
