The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ, is seeking potential sources, industry comments, product information, or proposed ideas for Rast Valves. Valve #1, TWG Bottom (P/N 6544D078); Valve #2, TWG Top (P/N 6544D025); and Valve #3, Traverse Winch (P/N 6558D014). The requirements for the valves are as follows: Requirements common to all valves: Mounting interface, ANSI B93.7M-1986 (NFPA D08), except center bolt hole locations*; Electrical power, 115 VAC, 60 Hz; Solenoids, continuous duty and easily replaceable; Ambient temperature, 0 to 50 deg. C (32 to 122 deg, F); Relative humidity, 95%; Operating fluid, MIL-H-17671 Military Symbol 2075-T-H (ISO Viscosity Grade 32), ie., 28.8-35.2 centistokes at 40 deg. C (104 deg. F); Fluid temperature, 0-160 degrees F; Fluid cleanliness, NAS 1638 Class 8 (ISO Grade 17/14); Vibration qualification, MIL-STD-167-1, Type 1, Shock qualification, MIL-S-901, grade B. Specific requirements for Valve #1, TGW Bottom (P/N 6544D078) are as follows: Type, four way directional, two position, single solenoid, spring offset with a manual solenoid override; Porting, pressure to port A with solenoid de-energized; Maximum operating pressure, 3200 psi; Potential pressure spikes, 3600 psi max,; Proof pressure, 4500 psi; Rated flow, 10-30 gpm; Cv=1.5 and higher assuming Sg (specific gravity)= .874 @ 60 deg. F; Installation dimensions, vertical height- 6.5 inches (including) adapter, if any), length- 15 inches max. Specific requirements for Valve #2, TGW Top (P/N #6544D025) are as follows: Type, four way directional, three position, double solenoid, spring centered, closed center with a manual solenoid override*; Maximum operating pressure, 3200 psi; Potential pressure spikes, 3600 psi max.; Proof pressure, 4500 psi; Rated flow, 10-30 gpm; Cv=1.5 and higher assuming Sg (specific gravity) = .874 @60 deg. F; Installation dimensions, vertical height- 9.25 (including adapter, if any) and length- 15 inches maximum. Specific requirements for Valve #3, Traverse Winch (P/N 6558D014) are divided into two types, Type A and Type B (NAWC will test to determinine suitability). Type A, two stage, pilot-operated (closed center), four way directional, three position, double solenoid, spring centered, with manual overrides on pilot stage valve solenoids* and shift rate control provided by a ''pilot choke'' type feature. Type B, two stage, pilot operated (closed center), four way directional, three position, double solenoid, spring centered, with manual overrides on pilot stage valve solenoids*. Specific requirements for both Type A and Type B are as follows: Maximum operating pressure, 3300 psi; Potential pressure spike, 3700 psi; Proof pressure, 4500 psi; rated flow, 15-30 gpm; Cv=3.5 and higher assuming Sg (specific gravity) = .874 @ 60 deg. F; Installation dimensions, vertical height- 10 inches max. (including adapter, if any) and length- 13 inches max.
