The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a nonpersonal service contract to the qualified individual or business capable of providing prosthetic and orthotic services, to inmates housed at the Federal Medical Center, Lexington, KY. Services include but are not limited to: orthopedic appliance application, and orthopedic footwear installation. Applications to include upper extremity, lower extrimity, and individual inner/outer footwear needs. Individual is expected to enter the institution for proper fittings and recommendations one time per month for a period of 1 - 3 hours. Specific hours will be determined by the contractor and the Health Services staff after contract award. Contractor is asked to supply a price per session, and a price for a list of prosthetics/orthotics. Contractor is required to be a member of the American Prosthetic and Orthotic Association. The government intends to award a contract for a base plus four years. The estimated aggregate range of this solicitation is between $100,000.00 and $500,000.00. The anticipated solicitation issue date is October 10, 1996, with an anticipated receipt of proposals due date of November 4, 1996.
