During the Multi-Purpose EC/EDI Conference, October 29-30, 1996, at the Mandalay Conference Hotel, 2101 Mandalay Beach Road, Oxnard, California 93035, (805) 984-2500, hosted by NAWCWPNS, China Lake, CA, pre-solicitation information will be provided to the chemical industry. In addition to standard pre-solicitation information, an overview of SPEDI (Small Procurement Electronic Data Interchange) will be presented. NAWCWPNS is also interested in offering industry an opportunity to engage in a facilitated discussion of potential commodity issues. The objective is to familiarize the chemical industry with the basic SPEDI concept (just-in-time electronic ordering under a systems contract umbrella) and then share ideas for improvement.
