The VA Medical Center has a requirement for a tram system to transport patients, employees and visitors. The tram system needs to consist of two gas powered units/modules to pull two non-powered tram units/modules. Each tram combination must have the capability of transporting 40 passengers including two wheelchairs, have a wheelchair ramp and meet all ADA standards. The length of any unit cannot exceed 30 feet, and height from ground to floor of the tram cannot exceed 14 inches. Passenger area will be an open environment, and have an optional weather protection on both sides of all units.
