Point, Ken Korkia, 303/420-7855. The Rocky Flats Citizens Advisory
Board (RFCAB), an independent advisory board operating under a grant
from the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking expressions of interest
and statements of qualification to perform contract research on four
separate projects beginning the fall of 1996 and continuing through
1997. These four projects are: 1) an analysis of radioactive waste and
materials handling to include storage and disposal availability,
practices, regulations, transportation, and other pertinent information
applicable to the types of materials found at the Rocky Flats
Environmental Technology Site (RFETS) near Denver, Colorado; 2) an
analysis of radioactively contaminated facilities decontamination,
decommissioning, and dismantlement to include regulations, standards,
practices, and experiences applicable to RFETS; 3) an analysis of
current environmental monitoring at and around REETS to include
recommendations on means for enhancement if necessary; and 4) an
analysis of environmental restoration technology needs to complete
cleanup at RFETS. Those interested are invited to contact RFCAB by
October 15 in order to be placed on a list to receive future Requests
