requirement for Photovoltaic Charge Controllers for solar powered
marine aids to navigation. The charge controllers will be used at solar
powered lighthouses and must be capable of controlling 180 amperes
charge current and 60 amperes load current. Charge controllers are of
the series interrupt type, with temperature compensation and adjustable
disconnect settings. Companies that have charge controllers that they
believe can meet or exceed the above mentioned performance capabilities
are invited to send information about their product to the above stated
address. THIS PROCUREMENT IS A 100% TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. The
SIC Code is 3612 and the size standard is 750 employees. The
acquisition will be awarded on a Firm Fixed Price basis utilizing full
and open competition. The U.S. Coast Guard intends on issuing an
Invitation For Bid (IFB) solicitation on or about October 31, 1996. The
period of performance is one year. Requests for the solicitation
