NSIA will present its fourth annual Tri-Service Requirements
Conference 5-7 November, 1996 at Langley AFB, VA. The conference will
be hosted by the United States Air Force Air Combat Command, with
support from the United States Army's Training and Doctrine Command,
the United States Navy's Atlantic Fleet and the United States Marine
Corps Atlantic Forces Command. ACC,TRADOC,LANTFLT and MARFORLANT are
the ``user'' proponents for warfighter air, land and sea warfighting
capabilities needed to implement National Security Strategy. Conferees
will hear representatives of each of the Command's warfare
requirements organizations describe the processes used to derive and
prioritize the needed warfighting capabilities and hear results of the
analytical processes expressed in terms of new material requirements.
In addition, the conference plans on having presentations from each of
the Services' Long Range Planning Groups on the future of warfighting
and its implications for the military and industry. The conference
sessions will be held 6-7 November and will feature, in addition to the
session speakers from ACC, TRADOC, LANTFLT and MARFORLANT, a speaker
from the United States Atlantic Command addressing a CINC's perspective
of needed military capabilities. The conference's objective is to
provide industry with information that will help it focus future IR&D
investments in pursuit of hardware solutions that have the highest
probability of proceeding into acquisition. A block of rooms has been
