C -- A/E SERVICES,MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL, (OPEN END) INDEFINITE QUANTITY DUE 101496 POC Aldean Montague A/E services are required for mechanical and electrical disciplines. Services may include, but are not limited to preparation of plans, designs, specifications, cost estimates, construction period services, investigative services, site visits, and other related activities for minor construction projects and renovation of existing buildings, all in accordance with the most current applicable codes. Contract performance period will be one-year beginning with the date of award with an option to extend for one-year. Award of a contract is dependent upon the availability of funds. Tasks will be directed by individually issued delivery orders. The maximum dollar limitation for each task order is $75,000. The total amount under the open ended contract shall not exceed $250,000. SELECTION CRITERIA: Each interested firm shall be evaluated on the following criteria; (1)Professional qualification necessary for satisfactory performance of the required services; (2) specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; (3)capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; (4)past performance on contracts with government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; (5) location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project. Consideration limited to firms having an existing active design production office within a 75 mile radius of VA Palo Alto, CA. At least one member of any proposed joint venture must have an existing design production office within the geographic limitation. Joint venture or firm/consultant arrangements will be considered and evaluated on a demonstrated interdependency of the members to provide a quality design effort. Respondents must demonstrate capability to perform 80% of all contract services in existing production offices within the geographic limitation. This solicitation is unrestricted and invites full and open competition.
