C -- PREVENTIVE/EMERGENCY SERVICE SOL F41608-96-R-57659 POC For copy, Fax request to LDKJ at (210)925-1058, For additional information contact Glunz, B./ldkj/(210)925-8845 Sa-Alc/Power Systems Branch/LDKJ Statement of Work: Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, transportation, parts, tools, material, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform preventive maintenance on LEYBOLD HARAEUS Electron Bean Welder (E.B.), serial number 668, Model EBW 5500 and HAMILTON Electron Beam Welding Machine, serial number 319, Model EBW (6) 1085656. Equipment: The equipment to be maintained is located in bldg. 324 at Kelly AFB, TX. The government will provide the contractor access to the equipment but will not be liable for any loss of the contractor's equipment, tools, supplies, or materials. The contractor shall be responsible for safeguarding all government property provided for contractor use. At the close of each work period, government facilities, equipment and materials shall be secured. Hours of Operation: The contractor shall maintain the following customer service hours for preventive maintenance: 0700 - 1500, Monday - Friday, except 10 federal government holidays. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall: (a) verify proper system groun, (b) check all oil/fluid level, (c) verify proper operation of all safety circuits and interlocks, (d) clean, inspect, and relubricate all table/drive mechanisms, (e) check calibration of vacuum metering circuitry, (f) check calibration of vacuum meter circuit, (g) inspect motor generator, clean slip rings, replace brushes, if necessary, (h) check motor generation, adjust as required, (i) check ripple content on the output of all DC supplies, (j) check operation of Bias Control Module (BCM), (k) inspect system valves for correct operation, (l) inspect internal components of high voltage power supply (every other visit), (m) vacuum leak check entire system with Heliumleak detector, (n) perform beam efficiency and stability tests using a farader cup, (o) remove and clean diffusion pumps, replace seals and recharge pumps with new oil (every other visit), (p) check dielectric oil from highvoltage tank (3 samples) and record results (every other visit), (q) remove cathode insulator assembly, clean, replace o-rings and put new oil into insulator (each visit), (r) remove opics, replace O-rings/cup seals, perform general cleaning and realign including viewer light (every other visit), (s) review results and recommendations with SA-ALC/LDPBE, (t) submit detailed written report to SA-ALC/LDPBE detailing all work performed and outline any existing or potential hazards. This will include recommendations to remedy the hazards, (u) the contractor shall notify SA-ALC/LDPBE 30 days prior to each visit. Preventive Maintenance Plan shall conist of the following: (a) four (4) pre-scheduled visits per year, three (3) days each, (b) top priority response for emergency machine down service, (c) over the phone technical assistance at no extra charge, (d) priority allocation on spare parts. Replacement and Repair Parts: All replacement and repair parts and transportation shall be supplied by the contractor. Contractor shall be reimbursed for parts in excess of $5.00 at the manufacturer's published list price or the invoice cost, whichever is less and approved by the contracting officer. Replacement parts shall be new and of equal quality with the parts being replaced. The contractor may use premium transportation of parts when authorized and approved by the contracting officer. The contractor is required to furnish an itemized list showing any replacement and repair parts needed.
