This is NOT a presolicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5, but is a Sources Sought Synopsis to identify sources for a BQM-34 Battery, NSN 6140-00-862-7134. This is a 28 volt, 12.5 ampere-hour battery used on the BQM-34A/D/S target drone for use by the Army, Air Force and Navy. This battery is no longer available from the two qualified sources. We are seeking sources interested in providing or building this battery. Respondents to this notice will be sent a Performance Specification. U.S. Contractors must provide an approved DD Form 2345 with their request. Contractors may obtain a DD Form 2345 Certification by contacting Defense Logistics Service Center, at 1-800-352-3572. The extent of allowable foreign participation has not been determined. The Government reserves the right to limit such participation subsequently.
