This contract will provide fuel credit card services through 11/30/98. The requirements of the procurement will include payment of motor fuel, oil, CAR washes, routine maintenance, repairs, autobody repairs, and other related services for the Federal governement. The card will be used for vehicles, small boats, small aircraft, and other motorized equipment. The fuel card must be a commerical fleet credit card accepted at most major and regional fueling sites in the United States. The contractor will be responsible for collecting and providing units of measurefor fuel (e.g., gallons), and deducting all applicable Federal, state, and municipal taxes applied to fuel and non-fuel purchases. The estimated fiscal year 1995 dollar volume was $190 million with an estimated 13 million transactions. However, it was previously used primarily for fuel. This contract will also provide for the payment of maintenance and body repair where the card is accepted. There are currently 360,000 fuel credit cards in use. The current contract for fuel credit card service expires on September 30, 1996. solicitation number FBFR-96-0001-N will be issued on/about September 12, 1996, and will close on/about October 10, 1996, at 3:30 PM.
